Privacy policy

This policy explains what data we collect when you visit this site or place an order, why we collect it, and what your rights are.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Place aux Plantes SRL, rue Lincoln 68, 1180 Uccle, company number 0777.272.975. For any question relating to your data: bonjour@placeauxplantes.be.

What we collect

When you order: name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number, order details. We never see your full payment details: they are processed directly by the payment provider.

When you write to us: the contact details and the content you send us via the contact form.

When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address.

When you browse: technical data — IP address, browser, pages viewed — collected by means of cookies.

Why, and on what basis

Processing and delivering your orders, and answering your questions: performance of the contract.
Meeting our accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation.
Sending you our newsletter: your consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.
Ensuring the proper functioning and the security of the site: our legitimate interest.

For how long

Data relating to an order is kept for ten years, the period required by Belgian accounting legislation. Enquiries sent via the form are kept for two years. Your newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe.

Who it is shared with

Only with the providers necessary to the service: Shopify, which hosts the shop; the payment provider; the carrier handling your parcel. We neither sell nor rent your data.

Your rights

You may access your data, have it rectified or erased, restrict its processing, object to it, or request its portability. Write to us at bonjour@placeauxplantes.be; we reply within one month.

If our reply does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.
